For those of you not on Facebook, I've just posted a new album of photographs taken out on the Minack cliffs, the coast path to Tater Du lighthouse and in Oliver Land yesterday.

Cheryl is going to post separately describing some exploring that she and her husband did in the old cliff meadows, they got right down to the bay and think that they may have also found the cat cave.

Oliver Land was looking wonderful yesterday, even on a cloudy day with a biting easterly wind. Due to the recent heavy rain, the paths are understandably, quite muddy. The ponies were not there yesterday, some were in a field adjacent to the to of the Donkey Walk, the others were in one of the fields next to Dorminack.

Although there are several different varieties of daffodils out along the coast path towards Tater Du and in some of the old cliff meadows there, there are none out in Oliver Land yet, although they are at various stages of development. Fingers crossed that some will be out on Memorial Weekend.

I hope you all enjoy these photographs

Thankyou Penny, lovely photos. I have seen them on FB but can get a much bigger picture on here so can see them better.
I can not wait until seven weeks time to meet up with FOMs members and to see Oliverland again. See you there!

Thank you Penny, like Mary, I have seen them on FB but the bigger picture here lets you see more detail. I particularly like the one you think might be the Cat Cave. I can just imagine a little cat curled up in there out of elements. :yes4:

They are lovely photographs Penny, thank you for sharing them. Its great to see winter pictures as the outline of the little meadows is very clear without the bracken.

Thank you everyone, it's my pleasure. I've just read Cheryl's post, she's described it all far better that I ever could. I didn't go with them down to the lower cliff meadows and the bay as I'm not that adventurous but, looking at the picture of the cat cave in my copy of 'Lama' we feel certain that that's what they found.

You're right, Annette, at this time of year, the meadows are much better defined and seeing them really puts all the hard work that Derek and Jeannie put into working them into perspective. For me, seeing the daffodils in bloom in places was one of the highlights. Fingers crossed there are some out in 7 weeks' time.
