Hope everyone else is enjoying the cloudless blue skies and warm sunshine that we have today. I spent the morning mowing the lawn, hoeing and weeding and generally tidying up in the garden, then this afternoon I rewarded myself by spending a couple of hours in my lounger with a book, although at one point, must admit I fell asleep! Result - one chargrilled Kath!! Think I may be glowing a little this evening.
Janet, hope this glorious weather lasts for your trip to Northumberland on Friday, have a lovely time and look forward to hearing about it, and seeing some photos on your return.
Have been tormenting myself by looking every day at the Sennen Cove webcam this week and wishing I was there. Mind you, then I read about the shoals of stinging Lion's Mane jellyfish that have invaded Sennen, Kynance and various other Cornish bays and decided that if I was there, I shouldn't be paddling!

Just to torment you further Kath, our friend Jane has been here and this morning we were on Porthcurno beach with the dogs at 7.15am and then after breakfast we went over to Sennen (sorry ................) and parked up on the top in the field car park and just looked at the view while her dogs had a quick run around. We've mostly walked on Long Rock though as the tide has been well in early in the morning when we're allowed on Sennen and Porthcurno. We saw what looked like a small purple jellyfish or really what looked like part of one but it was certainly dead, there were actually about 3 but quite tiny. Don't think they were the Lions Mane even if they'd lost the mane. There was a lady swimming at Porthcurno this morning so hope she didn't come across any.
Glad you enjoyed your lounger with your book, I also sat outside this afternoon with my book when Jane had left for home but I hadn't done any work earlier to deserve it!

I was day dreaming about Cornwall this morning, on the way to work. Wouldnt have minded a walk on the beach at Porthcurno!
The weather here hasnt been too bad, warm and sunny but still windy. My runner beans etc have all got scorched leaves! I am sure they will recover. I nearly sat out with my book for a bit this evening but it was just a bit too breezy.
I dont like jellyfish very much!!! Hope that they are gone by the end of next month.
