Wow, I'm glad I'm in PZ even if it was a very grey and misty day!

That was one scary storm! I watched several other youtube clips of the same storm too, lots of cars with big dents in them, windows cracked, wooden fascia boards ripped to shreds.

Sybille, we saw a coach from Essen at the Folly Field car park in Marazion at lunchtime. We were parking the car while we walked to the causeway at St Michaels Mount and had a short boat trip over to the Mount. A warm day but overcast for most of it and with a bit of mist hanging around which actually made the Mount look mystical. This was our first visit to the gardens this season, lots of spring flowers and a deep red echium ~ very effective. We bought our 3rd Maderense Geranium to see if it could be 3rd time lucky as the previous 2 perished in the last 2 winters.
There's a lot of building work going on around the harbour area as they've had problems with the harbour wall. All the cobbles in the affected area have been removed and placed into dumpy bags and numbered so they go back in the right places. Not sure whether they meant each cobblestone was numbered or just each bag for a specific area. It will be fun putting that jigsaw back together.
We were there for a couple of hours including our cream tea so were able to walk back on the causeway.
Forecast for the next few days is really very good so lots of gardening I think. PZ has Power Boat Racing at the weekend with the Prom being shut from tomorrow and the blurb says that there could be 20,000 visitors ~ could be a little bit busy down this way.

Jane re the power boat racing, my youngest nephew (in his early thirties now!) is in Penzance today at the Yacht Club, Albert Dock - wrapping 8 boats for someone. I think wrapping isn't sort of singing in this case rather putting logos and the like on the boats. Not sure if he will call in on us on the way back to Bucks.........Maybe the boats he is wrapping are taking part in the racing.
