If you know of anyone looking for some garden hens or want some yourself, Little Hen Rescue has an urgent task to find homes for 10,000 birds before the 28th of June, those not homed will be slaughtered as the farmer is giving up. I am so tempted but if I have them on the allotment it means when we are at Bryher it is something else to arrange care for. If we were already at Bryher, I might well be thinking how to fit some in, although we don't have a massive garden. Anyway, in view of 'Queen Mary' transported from Mortlake to Minack I just thought I would mention these poor 'girls'. They have a web-site.....if you Google 'Little Hen Rescue' you will find it.
