Southern Australia

It's the middle of autumn here. In Melbourne Monday began with widespread fog and quite cool temperatures 8.7C being the ciy's low. But the day warmed up to get to 22C degrees with some sunny patches in the late afternoon. It's currently supposed to be 14C degrees but as we get the wind straight off the sea, I bet it's a deal cooler out than that!

Oh Jenni.......just as we are coming out of Winter the thought of Autumn just doesn't appeal somehow. :( Trees with leaves on are much more my style at present.

Gloria I would just about give anything to be in England for Spring right now. The trees on Preston green bursting into life would be a wonderful sight to see.....actually any trees bursting into life would be great right about now :)

Jeni you are welcome to join us .... as long as we can join you when it's Winter here..... :D I have always said I like the changing seasons and in a way I do but as I get older I think I could stand permanent Summer.

So long as permanent summer doesn't mean non-stop rain like we have had for the past two years!!

Actually I like our mix of seasons, don't think I could live somewhere when the climate went straight from winter to summer.

No permanent summer here in Melbourne town I'm afraid. It's dreary winter arriving. I know we need water/rain but does it have to be dreary and windy and blow gales all the time????????? We're due for wet windy weather for the next week at least...it's currently 13 C. It's howling outside which we here more being up high than you would lower down in the building. It also thumps into the building with each gust which can be a bit disconcerting. I prefer being right net to the sea in weather like this:-)
