Thanks to Gloria & Kath for the friendly welcome. I have no connection with Minack at all except for being entranced by Derek's books a few years ago. My family and I had looked in to self sufficiency in the 1970’s but weren’t brave enough to pursue it.
It was interesting to see from the Tangyes’, the depth of personal relationships and life experience of the simple things in life, that perhaps, really are fundamentally most important to us as humans. It was that spark of wonder that made me want to find out a little more and see photographs of their home that are available on the site.
