Oh dear!!

I have just realised I deleted me from the intros!

I am Linda and found the Minack Chronicles completely by chance in the library when I needed to read something to pick me up out of the doldrums of work! Have since read all of Derek's books and love everyone of them. Dreamt of a life like theirs and set off on a quest to find it(took ten years in the searching!). Sadly, it didn't end, as I had originally hoped, in Cornwall...however, I am far away from the madding crowds on an island off the Scottish coast...Isle of Arran. Living on a farm with the nearest neighbours and road half a mile away, with a 'winding lane' to the farmhouse. No, its not way up north, we are in fact just 30 miles away from Glasgow,(after a ferry ride)...so I can get my 'shopping injection' once in a while!

I met Jeff, my husband, via the internet, and we married after a month after our first email. We have now been married nearly seven years.

I used to visit Derek several times a year when I lived in Sussex but have not been back to Minack since 2000. Much to my regret! I do so need to visit...maybe one day when we can sort out all the animals etc.

Please, although I am the moderator for the site, its really more to deal with any nasties that could turn up, other than that I am a huge admirer and dedicated fan of Derek and Jeannie and love talking and listening about Minack and what people think and feel about how its affected their lives.

Hello Linda,

I know it can easily happen to delete something erroneously if working with computers - so, nice to have all your details again.

I notice the 'Related Minack Books/Resources' Section has also disappeared - erroneously or done on purpose?

Hi Sybille, yes! ...must have been one of those ever increasing senior moments!
:D

I am afraid I did delete the Resources topic as I noticed that it didn't seem to be a useful addition, we can always bring one back if everyone wants such a topic. Like everything on the forum we can try things out and see what works best and what doesn't. I know you did contribute to it but there is still the topic under General discussion so details can be posted there and I think yours are under this one. It just appeared that a special section wasn't needed at this stage.

:)

I was hoping you might agree to copies of the photos being displayed they are such a treasure trove! Thank You!

Best wishes
Linda
