Just to let any new applicants wanting to join the Forum know that at the moment (Sunday, 6th Sept 09) Linda, our website manager, is temporarily offline owing to an over enthusiastic council hedge trimmer on the Isle of Arran. Hopefully this situation will soon be resolved and in the meantime, for urgent queries she can be reached on 01770 820611.

Hi All

Although I am not a new member haven't visited the site for a while. I have been a follower of Derek and Jeannie since the 1980's and have been lucky to meet with Derek a few times. I also met Cherry.

The Chronicles are ingrained in my heart and I have all the books in hard cover which are placed proudly in my lounge along with a picture of Derek and Jeannie bought from the Lamorna Pottery a few years back.

We have moved to a country environment and I am lucky enough to have foxes and badgers visit every night, rabbits in the field and even recently a deer. This is my nearest thing to heaven. I also have 3 cats, Lama, Erin and Alfie who are my babies.

We are going to Cornwall next weekend for 2 weeks and am looking forward to visiting Oliver Land once more.

I am happy to share any thoughts and memories with other members.

Hi Mary, glad to see I have persuaded you to come back to the forum, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Hope this weather continues for you and John in Cornwall, and for me too in October. Look forward to meeting up with you on 1st October.

Kath

Hello Mary......Great to 'hear' your voice again on our wonderful Minack forum.

The weather here today has been beautiful........everything that Cornwall is about. Lovely leafy lanes, although some of the trees are turning colour, taking you down to the sea. Sunny beaches and clear rock pools, even found a large heart shaped pebble. Happy Hols when you get here. Don't be a stranger.
